Wednesday’s games
Ian Happ and Taylor Davis each homered to back Alec Mills who gave up three hits over five scoreless innings in Iowa’s 18–5 win over New Orleans. Both Happ and Davis finished with three RBI, and were two of seven Iowa players who had multi-hit games.

Tennessee lost, 6–2, to Mississippi. Zach Hedges gave up four runs over five innings. Charcer Burks had a hit, and now has hit safely in all six games this season.

Myrtle Beach dropped the series finale at Buies Creek, 5–1. Thomas Hatch gave up three earned runs on five hits and two walks over 4 2/3 innings, striking out five. Tyler Alamo had two hits for the third straight game.

South Bend scored three runs in the eighth to beat Fort Wayne, 4–2. Tyson Miller started and gave up one unearned run over five innings, striking out six. Kevonte Mitchell hit a two-run triple.
